Mixed Greens, Granny Smith Apple, Goat Cheese, Toasted Almond, Roasted Lemon Vinaigrette Pairing: 2019 Faustini "Beach House No. 34" , Napa Valley, California Second Course: The Original Sea Bright Lobster Bisque. Rich & Creamy Bisque packed with the meat from an entire lobster! Pairing: 2020 J. Lohr "Riverstone", Arroyo Seco Monterey, California Third Course: Braised Short Rib. Brown Butter Sweet Potato Puree, Sautéed Kale, Shrimp Bignets. Served with David’s famous housemade popovers. Pairing: 2021 Liberty School Reserve, Paso Robles, California Fourth Course: “Not So Humble” Key Lime Pie". Graham cracker, whipped cream, golden berries. While Napa Valley is mostly known for its prodigious Cabernet Sauvignon production, growing conditions are favorable for a wide range of grapes, from warm-weather varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc to cool-weather ones like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. At this informative sit-down event we will watch short videos about the region, sample all of these grapes plus Petit Sirah, Zinfandel and Sparkling and discuss tasting notes with Certified Sommelier Katie Califano. Wines selected so far include: Clos du Val Cabernet Sauvignon Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvaison Pinot Noir Rutherford Hill Merlot Markham Zinfandel Stags Leap Petit Sirah St Supery Sauvignon Blanc Heitz Chardonnay “Quartz Creek” Mumm Napa Brut We'll pair the wines with cheeses and meats indigenous to the region.
